Responsibilities

  • Chair of Premises and Child Welfare
  • Co-opted governor

Committees Premises and Child Welfare, Curriculum

I moved from Germany to the UK in the 1990s and have worked in large international corporations such as BT Global Services as well working for small dynamic advertising businesses. I had the opportunity to do this because of skills learnt from my two MA degrees in Japanese Language & Linguistics and Interactive Multimedia at the Royal College of Art, London.
After working in Tokyo, Bonn and London I moved to Suffolk to work for BT for 11 years and following that I was employed as a Teaching Assistant by Birchwood Primary School for six years.
I started my role as a parent governor at Melton when my son was in reception and since then he has moved to Farlingaye and I am now a co-opted governor.
We live in Melton and my objective remains to contribute with my versatile background and skills to support Melton Primary. It is important to me to help children of all abilities and ensure they are given the opportunity to achieve their best.
I appreciate what motivates people and I am keen to promote a better understanding of the wider world.
